About me

Hello, my name is Sophie Jackson, I am the psychotherapist at Wisdom Counselling. I am registered pyscotherapist with the College of Registered Pyschotherapist of Ontario. I also hold a Master's of Divinity in Clinical Counselling through the accredited Christian institution of Tyndale University. I believe that integrating faith in the therapy room is essential for therapy to be effective especially for us Christians.

I began my own Christian Journey around 10 years ago just before I left for university. I studied devolopmental psychology in my bachelor degree. When I asked God for guidance on what to do after 4 years of undergraduate studies, was to go to a Christian school called Tyndale University (formerly Ontario Bible College). There I began the process of intergrating faith in the counselling room. I interned at a non-for profit Christian Counselling Services and then I began my work as a single session EAP counsellor at Telus health and I now work as a designated Christian Counsellor for ongoing short term counselling.

I decided that I wanted to open a private Christian Practice. I wanted to expand my horizons and start a flexible service for Christians. I will also take clients who are not Christian but understand that I operate from a Christian perspective. I wanted to serve the Christian community with my gift of counselling.
